Colombia’s civil aviation authorities say the two black boxes of the crashed plane have been recovered.
Emergency workers found the black boxes with flight data and cockpit voice recordings. It has not been confirmed how long it will take to analyze their contents. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
An airport statement said the plane reported an emergency at 10 p.m. local time, saying it had electrical failures.
Colombia had been hit by heavy rains and thunderstorms in recent hours. Other sources suggested the short-haul charter plane may have run out of fuel.
