Iraqi forces have discovered two ISIL arms factories south of Mosul. Iraqi Rapid Response Division believe the factories were a major source of medium-level and heavy weapons for the militant gangs.

This is the first time Iraqi forces have encountered such a factory in Mosul. They had previously found storage facilities in other regions. The factories had a complete arms production line going from scratch to a fully functioning mortar shell or Katyusha rocket.
