In Snooker China's Ding Junhui took on Welshman Jamie Jones in the third round of the UK Championship. This event has, so far, been a good one for players from Wales with Jones's countrymen Mark William and Mathew Stevens also booking their places in the next phase and despite Ding being ranked 5th in the world, he would also be on the losing end to a man from the vally.

In the first frame Jones takes charge from the start and goes on a run of 61.
To take a one-nothing lead following a bad break from the Chinese. An out-of-form Ding fails to get back on level terms and when he misses this middle pink his British counterpart steels in to win the second and go two up.
The former world number one pulls one back in the next frame following a foul from Jones which lets Ding in for a long pott on a break of 70. 2-1 now.
The man from Jiangsu then makes things all square thanks to a run of 73 which ends on this black.

But he would be dealt a snooker lesson in the next 4 frames, take my word for it. Jones takes full control to win 6-2 and advance to the last 16.
