Philippine authorities have rounded up over one thousand Chinese citizens for working illegally in the country's internet gambling industry.

In a statement, the Chinese embassy in the Philippines warns Chinese nationals against working in illegal internet gambling. The embassy has sent staff to ensure those in custody are treated fairly.
