The Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect program is scheduled to launch on December 5th. The program will allow mainland investors to buy and sell Hong Kong stocks and vice-versa. China's Securities Regulatory Commission said the link will promote the development of capital markets, both in Hong Kong and on the Mainland.

Hong Kong has contributed greatly to mainland China's economic development. The Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect will connect two of China's biggest stock markets and strengthen Hong Kong's role as an international financial hub.
