Chaos continue in India two weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to take the nation's two largest banknotes out of circulation. Long queues can be seen outside banks and ATMs across the country.

A 70-year-old man died while standing in a queue. Fights have erupted between police and civilians. There has been widespread unrest in India's major cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata. Opposition parties are protesting the government's currency plan. 

"People are upset and worried about Narendra Modi's policy. But Modi is sitting with his eyes and mouth closed as if nothing has happened. We are protesting, to make him pay more attention," said Ajay Maken, politician, Indian National Congress.

"Our protest will continue until Aaganwadi workers, shopkeepers, poor people get what they have been promised by the government," said Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal.
