NBA fans who tuned into the recent game between the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat were in for an extra treat -- traditional Chinese Dragon Dances during half-time.
The events at Saturday's game marked the end of the China-US tourism year of 2016. The head of China's National Tourism Administration -- Li Jinzao -- exchanged gifts with Wizards owner Ted Leonsis.
2016 was dubbed China-US tourism year when Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the US last September. The two countries implemented more than 100 tourism projects this year while the number of visitors between the two countries was expected to reach over 5 million.
