A total of 194 million Chinese residents travelled overseas in the first three quarters of this year. That was up 13.5 percent from 2015.
Meanwhile, 336 million Chinese travelled inside China in the first three quarters, up 11 percent from the same period last year.
Tourism related income exceeded 2.9 trillion yuan, up nearly 4 percent. That accounts for 13 percent of the global market.
