For more information about President Xi's current tour, we are joined now by Professor Yang Zhimin, from the Institute of Latin America Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Q1. China has made significant investment in Ecuador, especially in the infrastructure sector. Will that be a focus of this visit and what else can we expect to happen?

Q2. This is the third time Xi Jinping has visited Latin America since taking office in 2013. How do you evaluate ties between China and the region? How can both sides further promote their partnership?
