Rescuers have been searching for 51-year-old sailor Guo Chuan since November third, when contact was lost with him and his boat after setting off from San Francisco. The vessel, known as "Qingdao", has been found and examined which has provided new information on the possible circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

Four professional French sailors boarded the "Qingdao" vessel and were able to do extensive research into its condition since it was found.

It was reported there was no major damage to the ship, but any new findings could reveal some new developments into how Guo was separated from his boat, however a technical difficulty has prevented them from sending their findings back, meaning the French team will have to wait until they are back on shore to analyze their info.
