U.S. Election Day got off to its usual early start in a village in New Hampshire at midnight Tuesday.
Opinion polls suggest Democrat Hillary Clinton has a slight edge, but Republican Donald Trump is close or even has the advantage in several swing states.
After her final campaign rally in North Carolina, Clinton arrived in New York, hours before casting her vote. And Trump concluded his campaign with a final rally in Michigan. He is expected to cast his vote in Manhattan.
Both candidates will hold rallies in the evening in New York City.
