So with Petra Kvitova lifting the hardware in Zhuhai, that concludes the second edition of the Elite Trophy. And behind the scenes, the team which put together this year's competition decided to expand its reach off the court, as they promoted the unique qualities of the host city.

Tournament organizer Peter Lü says sporting events should offer fans a more interactive experience.
He said, "This is the second year of our five-year tournament deal in Zhuhai. We definitely tried to include more off-court experiences for our fans."
"This included a world class food court, and a 1500 square meter tennis instruction area to help more local kids to learn some of the sport's basics. Unlike watching football or basketball, we want to make the Elite Trophy in Zhuhai more like a tennis festival that everyone can enjoy."
