Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has spoken about this year's fifth annual 16+1 Summit which took place in the Latvian capital, Riga. Li was speaking at a press conference at Riga's National Library with Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Li said the summit was held against a backdrop of sluggish world economic recovery, weak trade growth and the new, complicated evolution of global and regional hotspot issues. He added that the summit sent a positive message of world peace and stability to the world, enhancing trade liberalization and investment facilitation and advancing the globalization process.
