Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak in Beijing for talks of bilateral ties.
Chinese president meets Malaysian PM in Beijing
Xi welcomed Najib’s visit to Beijing, saying the two countries should hold regular high-level meetings. He welcomed Malaysia to take part in the “Belt and Road” initiative.
Xi he said the two countries should deepen cooperation in more areas, including infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and countering terrorism to maintain regional peace and prosperity.
Najib is on a six-day visit to China. He said bigger countries should treat smaller countries fairly, and that disputes in the South China Sea should be resolved through dialogue in accordance with the rule of law.
