The Chiese promtion Kunlun has announced it will stage it's Grand Final in Sanya, Hainan Province on January 1st next year as they hope to start using the city as a regular site for their events.

Fighters from over 30 countries around the world including China, Thailand, and Russia will compete for titles on the last night of the 2016 Kunlun Fight.

The promotion also revealed 12 more fights will be held in Sanya during 2017 as they hope to help the city continue its reputation for tourism.

"We hope in bringing our best fights to the city of Sanya it will become a highlight for the city. We are aiming to build a city which is renowned for its sports culture and, we will show the world the beauty of Sanya and the culture of the city through this," said Jiang Hua, Kunlun Fight founder.
