A South Korean law firm says it expects thousands more to join its lawsuit against Samsung. Hundreds of consumers are already participating in the suit over the company's combusting Galaxy Note 7 smartphones. Seoul-based Harvest Law filed the initial suit on Monday on behalf of 527 buyers of the Note 7.

They are asking for 500,000 won, or about 440 US dollars, in compensation per person. On Monday, Samsung said anyone choosing the exchange option would also receive a 50% discount on the new Note 8 or S8 phones expected launch next year.
