The United States has blamed Russia for hacking political sites and organizations. The White House said the U.S. intelligence community was “confident” that Russia was behind recent hacking of emails from U.S. persons and institutions, adding Russia aimed to interfere in the ongoing U.S. presidential elections.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov immediately dismissed the accusation as “nonsense.” He declared that many cyber attacks on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s website can be traced to the U.S. but Russia is not blaming the White House.
