Russia has said it had zero involvement in the hacking of Democratic Party emails. This is in response to US officials saying the hack originated in Russia.
The Kremlin told the United States to get to the bottom of the hacking incident itself. Russia rejected what Donald Trump said was a sarcastic suggestion that Moscow should dig up Hillary Clinton's "missing" emails.
US President Barack Obama earlier said it was possible Russia would try to influence the presidential election. His comment was rejected by Kremlin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, who said Russia never interfered in other countries' election campaigns.
