At least seven people have now been confirmed dead after a landslide hit Sucun Village in East China's Zhejiang Province on Wednesday.

Rescuers retrieved four bodies at the scene of the landslide on Friday, bringing the number of missing to 20. Local authorities say over 4,000 rescue workers, together with unmanned planes and rescue vehicles, are racing against time to reach them.

Rainstorms caused by Typhoon Megi led to about 400-thousand cubic meters of debris sliding into the village from a nearby mountain. Ten people are currently getting treatment in hospital. Nearly 1,500 villagers were evacuated from their homes.
