At least five people are now confirmed dead from the landslide that hit Sucun Village in East China's Zhejiang Province on Wednesday.
Rescue work is still ongoing as 22 others remain missing. Rainstorms caused by Typhoon Megi led to about 400,000 cubic meters of debris sliding into the village from a nearby mountain and burying 20 houses.
Ten people are currently getting treatment in hospital. Nearly 1,500 villagers were evacuated from their homes. Psychologists have been dispatched to temporary shelters to offer counselling to those who were relocated.
