Full coverage: 67th Chinese National Day

The Chinese Ministry of Transport says that about 720 million people will be traveling throughout China in cars, trains and boats during the seven-day National Day holiday. 

The ministry says some 650 million people are expected to enjoy their holiday on road trips. That's up 1.7 percent from the same period a year ago.

The ministry says another 110 million people are expected to travel by train during the holidays while about 12 million others cruise on boats. The ministry says the heaviest travel day will be on Saturday.
