Full coverage: The Sixth Plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee

The Communist Party of China is preparing to hold its 18th-CPC-Central-Committee sixth-plenary-session from October 24th to 27th in Beijing. Government leaders are expected to map out important policies for China and its people during this year's session.

President Xi Jinping and leaders from the Central Committee Political Bureau met on Tuesday to discuss strengthening Party discipline in order to better solve major issues.

Two files regarding Party standards and supervision are expected to be examined and discussed at this year's plenary session.
