In Syria, government forces battled rebel fighters on several fronts in the northern city of Aleppo.
A senior rebel official said pro-government forces are mobilising in apparent preparation for more ground attacks in central areas of the city.
Air strikes hit the two largest hospitals in the rebel-held eastern part of the city early on Wednesday. Medical workers say the bombardment destroyed the generator of the larger hospital. Three staff workers were injured in the other.
It's not yet confirmed who carried out the air-strikes. The rebels say government forces are also attacking the Handarat refugee camp a few kilometres north of Aleppo.
