Chinese premier Li Keqiang says China will keep its economic growth momentum this year, despite a slowdown in global trade.
Li made the remarks at an economic forum on the sidelines of the UN general assembly meeting. He assured steady growth in the second half of this year, and stressed the importance of pro-capita GDP.
On the currency front, Li said there was no basis for a long-term devaluation of the Chinese yuan, and the country would not depreciate the yuan to boost exports. Li also said China would relax rules on the entry of foreign investments.
