Huang smashes 200m freestyle S3 record, wins fourth gold in Rio

We will begin in Rio, with continuing action from the Paralympic Games. China were sitting on top of the podium and would look to add to their medal, thanks to Huang Wenpan, who would have a record-breaking day in the pool.

In the men's 200m freestyle S3 category, China's Huang Wenpan is chasing his fourth gold at the Games. The 21-year-old would touch the wall in three minutes and 9.04 seconds, beating Ukraine's Dmytro Vynohradets by 73-one-hundredths of a second.

Spain's Gascon finishes in second place

On the women's side, China's Xu Jialing beats Spain's Sarai Gascon by 10-one-hundredths of a second to win the 100m butterfly S9 final. Xu turned 14 last month and is one of the youngest gold medallists at the Rio Paralympics.

Chinese team sets new world record of 50.81 seconds

In track and field, China set a new world record to win gold in the women's four by 100 meters T35-38 final. The Chinese team cross the line in 50.81 seconds to eclipse the previous record of 51.63 seconds set by Britain in June. Britain took silver.

26-year-old grabs gold medal after throw of 13.91 meters

In the women's shot put F35 final, China's Wang Jun registers a best effort of 13.91 meters to set a new world record. The 26-year-old takes the gold medal, Ukraine's Mariia Pomazan silver.

Seventh wheelchair fencing gold for China

Meanwhile...China face Hong Kong in the women's epee team event. Zou Xufeng helps China seal the victory 45-35. They grab the seventh wheelchair fencing gold medal in Rio. Hungary beat Poland 45-44 in the bronze medal match.

Jefinho scores both goals for host country

In football five-a-side, China face Brazil in one semi-final. Wang Yafeng's goal gives China a 1-0 lead midway through the first half. But Jefinho equalizes in style to make it 1-all at half-time. The Paralympic Pele scores the go-ahead for the hosts in the second half. 2-1 would be the final score as Brazil knock out China to reach the final.
