German police have arrested three Syrian nationals accused of being sent to Germany by the militant group, Islamic State. Prosecutors allege that the three men, who are between the ages of 17 and 26, were dispatched to Germany in November 2015, either to carry out a mission or to wait for further instructions.

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said they entered Germany after travelling through the Balkans. Around a million asylum seekers arrived in Germany last year. Concerns about their presence rose after three violent attacks were carried out by asylum seekers. But De Maiziere said it would be wrong to suspect all refugees.
