The 13th China-Asean Expo and the 13th China-ASEAN business and investment Summit opens in Nanning city, the capital of Southwestern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli has delivered a speech in the opening ceremony. 

The 13th China-Asean Expo and the 13th China-ASEAN business and investment Summit opens in Nanning city, the capital of Southwestern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli has delivered a speech in the opening ceremony.

"Among ASEANs' dialogue partners, China was the first to establish strategic partnership with ASEAN and has established a cooperative partnership with each and every ASEAN member states, leaders of the two sides have frequent mutual visits, dialogue mechanisms at various levels are productive. At the end of last year, the two sides adopted the third action plan for the strategic partnership, drawing up a blueprint for the development of China- ASEAN relations," he said.

Premier Zhang also said stronger ties between China and ASEAN have benefited people from both sides, and the Expo Business Summit is to help forge a "community of shared destiny."

The 13th China-ASEAN Expo,  scheduled for Sept 11-14, is a trade fair promoting cooperation between businesses from all countries involved. This year will see the most exhibitors in its decade-long history.
