Kyrgyz authorities have identified the organizers of the terrorist attack on the Chinese embassy in the capital Bishkek last week.
Kyrgyzstan says the attack was organized by Uygur terrorist groups active in Syria. These groups are affiliated with the terrorist group that until recently used the name Jabhat al-Nusra.
The suicide bomber was a member of the terrorist organization East Turkistan Islamic Movement. The car bomb attack killed the lone assailant and injured five security personnel and staff. The explosion damaged the embassy gate and wall and buildings next to it.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry condemned the attack and urged Kyrgyzstan to take immediate and necessary measures to ensure the safety of Chinese people and institutions.
