A car bombing has targeted the Chinese embassy in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek. At least one person is dead and several are wounded.

The ambassador’s secretary has confirmed the attacker died at the scene. The wounded are receiving treatment in hospital. The driver reportedly tried to ram the gate of the embassy compound.
