To begin in Laos where the annual ASEAN summit is in full swing. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has held multilateral talks with partners from ASEAN countries, calling for cooperation to maintain peace and stability in the region.

Before the meeting, leaders celebrated 25 years of dialogue between the regional bloc and Beijing. Premier Li is in the Laotian capital of Vientiane for the 28th and 29th ASEAN summits. The three-day summits and related leaders' meetings also include talks between ASEAN and other international partners.
