The International Monetary Fund called on world leaders at the G20 Summit to work towards more inclusive economic growth. It hailed the two-day meeting as a success.
Speaking to the press at the end of the summit in Hangzhou, IMF chief Christine Lagarde said G20 members support the IMF on issues like capital flows, financial regulations, and international taxation.
And she welcomed the inclusion of the yuan in the IMF's basket of currencies called the Special Drawing Rights in October, signalling the internationalization of the Chinese currency. Lagarde also said G20 members must make sure that economic growth benefits more people.
