The Inner Mongolia Cultural Week festival has opened at the National Art Museum in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. There were a string of surprises and activities in store. Cultural weeks between China and Mongolia have been frequently held throughout the past eight years.

Inner Mongolia Cultural Week opens in Ulaanbaatar

About 300 representatives from all over the country attended the opening ceremony. Children from Inner Mongolia presented the audience with traditional Mongolian songs and dances. An exhibition titled "China Beauty" showcased China's cultural charms and development achievements through photographs, books and Mongolian calligraphy. The festival will last until the end of August.
