The annual NCPA August Chorus Festival has kicked off in Beijing. On top of watching the world's top productions, audiences are also given the chance to learn how to sing through various activities held at this year's festival.
World-famous choruses to perform at NCPA August Chorus Festival
Seven world-famous choruses from home and abroad are performing a total of nine concerts in Beijing, presenting both classical music as well as folk songs. Works by maestros such as Brahms and Mozart will be showcased.
This year, the festival also includes classes for newly formed chorus groups, where professionals will give them pointers and advice after their performances.

The NCPA has also entrusted the Central Conservatory of Music Press to publish a package of the open and live recording of the Chinese-Western Opera Classics Concert. The festival started on August 3rd and lasts until August 19th.
