Over 1,800 medical experts and researchers have gathered in Hong Kong for the International Organ Transplantation Congress. Participants held discussions on scientific research and debated on the clinical and ethical issues surrounding organ transplant.
The international meeting is the largest and most authoritative of its kind, and this is China's first time hosting the biennial event. The Director of China's Organ Transplantation Development Foundation, Huang Jiefu, said he is confident China has what it takes to become a world leader in this area.
