In men's basketball, the two-time defending champs from the USA would reach their third straight gold medal game after beating Spain 82-76. Klay Thompson leading the Americans with 22 points. The second semi-final features Serbia dismantling Australia 87-61, paced by a 22-point effort from Milos Teodosic.
