SWEDEN UPSET USA 4-3 IN PENALTY SHOOTOUT
And Sweden knocks the defending champions the USA out of the Olympics. The Europeans prevailing 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the squads played to a 1-1 draw.
Lisa Dahlkvist converted Sweden's final penalty after Alex Morgan and Christen Press missed for the holders in the shootout.
This marks the first time the U-S have not made the final since soccer was included in the Olympic programme.
