Turkey's Prime Minister has vowed to bring the US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen to justice. The government holds Gulen responsible for last month's failed coup. The Turkish government has launched a sweeping crackdown targeting Gulen’s followers. Tens of thousands of people with suspected links to Gulen have been suspended or dismissed from their jobs.
The sectors cover the judiciary, media, education, health care, military and local government. Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said Turkey will employ 15,000 new teachers, and recruit 10 thousand new police officers to replace the people who have been purged.
