With the Games are well underway in Rio, two Chinese traditional practices have become popular throughout the Olympic Village: cupping jars therapy and mosquito nets.
The striking brown circular marks left by the cupping treatment have been seen on many athletes, including American gymnast Alex Naddour and Olympic champion Michael Phelps. The cupping therapy can help enhance blood circulation and reduce fatigue.
Meanwhile, the mosquito nets have also become a favorite, guarding athletes from the Zika virus infection, which has spread across Brazil since May last year.
