We talked to an expert from National University of Laos, and he shared with us his view about the expansion of cooperation between China and the ASEAN countries. He said this cooperation had entered a new phase, in sectors from politics and the economy to culture and science. China is now the top trading partner for ASEAN.

"This 25th anniversary will be a very good mark, a very good mile stone, I believe, we will together develop further in the area of political stability, security of the region, economies of the region, as well as the reservation of cultures. So tourism activities in this region would be much more stronger than ever before," said Dr. Phosy Chanhming, director of Research Center on China, National University of Laos.
