China is seeking closer economic ties with ASEAN member states, as well as more cooperation on maritime security to develop what President Xi Jinping has called "a community of common destiny".
Despite ongoing disputes, Wang says China is willing to remove all obstacles to ensure that China-ASEAN relations stay on track.
