China's People's Liberation Army has sent a helicopter to rescue trapped villagers in Hebei Province.

Some villages have been isolated by widespread floods. The rescue operations began on Thursday morning. At least six villagers have been taken to hospital.

The helicopter also sent relief items to three isolated villages.
