China announced the golfers that will represent the country at the Rio Games. Feng Shanshan, will be leading the women's squad, while Wu Ashun is headlining the men's.
Feng Shanshan is the top Chinese female golfer and is ranked 11th in the world. She is the first player from the world's most populous nation to win an LPGA China to win a major, claiming the LPGA championship in 2012.
She will be teamed with Lin Xiyu, and was selected to play for her country at the 2010 Asian games, prompting her to turn pro at the age of 15. The 20-year-old youngster won last year's Sanya Ladies open.
Wu Ashun is coming off a win on the European tour last month in Austria. The 31-year-old is ranked 37th, and won the 2015 Volvo China Open.
His playing partner, Li Haotong, won the event this year, that was the first Euro tour win for the 19-year-old who is ranked 39th.
