A French parliamentary inquiry into last year's terrorist attacks in Paris has recommended the fusion of the country's myriad intelligence services into a single agency.
The head of the inquiry recommended the establishment of "a national anti-terrorism agency", like the US National Counter-Terrorism Center. He said all the French attackers had been known to authorities, but the various agencies had not communicated effectively with each other.
The January and November attacks last year in Paris killed 147 people, prompting criticism of the security response.
