China's weather service has issued a yellow alert for storms, forecasting heavy rains across the country in the next two days. Thunderstorms, gales and hail stones, will hit parts of eastern China later today or tomorrow. Some areas are expected to see level-eleven storms.

eanwhile, in southern China, many regions will see rainfall of up to 20 to 50 milimeters per hour over the next two days. However, there's better news in northern China, as the strong convective weather we've seen- which is caused by a collision of hot and cold fronts- is expected to end later today.

China has a four-tier color-coded system for severe weather, with red being the most serious, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
