The White House has condemned the supposedly failed missile test by the DPRK. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest noted that this series of high-profile failed launches temper recent worries that the DPRK is pushing quickly towards the goal of a nuclear-tipped missile that can reach America.
"The United States strongly condemns North Korea's missile test, in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions which explicitly prohibit North Korea's use of missile technology," said Josh Earnest.
"These actions and North Korea's continued pursuit of ballistic missile and nuclear weapons capabilities poses significant threat to the United States, our allies and to the stability of the Asia-Pacific region."
