Iraqi forces are continuing their preparations to push Islamic State out of Fallujah in Anbar province. Pro-government forces have taken position around the city.
On Saturday, they discovered a network of underground tunnels built by Islamic State militants. Troops and militia are massing on outskirts of Falluja, in preparation for a final battle to recapture the Islamic State stronghold.
Military sources say the first phase of the offensive that started on Monday is nearly finished. Hundreds of families fled the city after the operation began, but tens of thousands are still believed to be trapped inside.
