China's central bank will maintain its current prudent monetary policy according to the People's Bank of China at a media briefing during the weekend.
The PBOC said there is sufficient liquidity in the banking sector and interest rates in the money market are maintained at low levels. The central bank will use flexible tools for minor adjustments. The bank also pointed out that M2, which measures broader monetary supply, may decline distinctly, as the base level was high during the same time last year.
