CCTV have talked to Victor Gao, the Director of the China National Association of International Studies. He says whatever the ruling is, the end result may be the opposite of what the Philippine government wants.
"The general feeling here in Beijing is a sense of indignation, as well as anger. ... that China would sacrifice its sovereignty and territorial integrity if they resort to unreasonable demands against the Chinese sovereignty," he said.
