It's also for people who are looking for a good deal in one of the world's most expensive cities. Rooms average 180 dollars a night, which is below New York's average.
The average occupancy rate at Pod 39 is above 90 percent, topping the city's average.
The growing demand for micro-hotels has caught the attention of major brands.
Hilton recently announced a new micro-hotel brand called 'Tru' that will open at the end of this year, and Marriott opened its first micro-hotel in Milan called 'Moxy' with plans to open more in the United States, another indication that these days, small really is big.
