Off to the Crucible in Sheffield, England and the final of snooker's world championship. World number one Mark Selby was leading China's Ding Junhui 10-7 going into the second day. After beating Ronnie O'Sullivan and clinching the title two years ago, the 33-year-old was hoping to become only the sixth multiple world champion. 

Ding, made history getting to this point, as the first Asian to play in the title match, now he was hoping to overcome the deficit and become the first Asian winner. 

Ding reached the semi-final in 2011, and this time he has done enough to book a place back in the top 16 next season.

Ding seems more confident at the start and won the first two frames, but he sinks the cue ball in the 25th frame, meaning the opening session was shared.

Then Selby pots the black and wins the first two frames of the final session to go 16-11 up. It looks all over for the Chinese. But Ding fights back in the next frame,  and pots the blue during a break of 73 and on the way to winning the frame.

The 29-year-old continues with accuracy and pots a red during a clearance of 70 to make it 16-13.

The Chinese then sinks a difficult red in the next frame before he makes a 103 break, meaning he wins three frames in a row and revives his prospects.

But Ding could not continue. Selby puts down the red plant to start his break and he goes on to win the frame, before clinches the title after a break of 74 in the 32nd frame.

Selby points at smiling wife Vikki in the crowd as he crosses the winning line, joy and satisfaction detailed across his face. His glory marks a second trophy for Leicester.
